Mila has very creative and tallented mom – Adele Enersen. When Mila was born her mom created little scenes from what she had at home, put sleeping Mila into the scene and snapped a photo. This way she created a lovely book “When my baby dreams”, the second one “When my baby dreams of fairy tales” and inspired parents all over the world to do the same. I wish my sons were such good sleepers as Mila, Adele was very lucky mom!
A little bit out of season, but I like it:
Found on My Modern Met.
My husband and I came across the work of Martin Martinček during our holiday in Slovakia several years ago.
We were hiking in Nizke Tatry mountains and one day went down to a little village, high in the mountains, to look for some place to sleep. We met two men (father and son; local carpenters) who offered us a room in their house. In the morning we were drinking tea with our hosts and talking and they said they want to show us some photos. We didn’t expect anything special. They brought a pile (really big pile) of photography albums. We took a look at them and we were absolutely stunned – they were great! These were photos of very tallented and well known (as we later checked) Slovak photographer – Martin Martinček, who was born and raised in this area. We could see all these beautiful images in their “source” – place where a lot of them were taken. Our hosts told us who was on photos (grandma, other family members, neighbours and friends) and shared other stories about them.
I’ve decided to show you landscapes here, because they are very interesting even without all those background stories we’ve heard.
Typical household accessories – lamps, tables, chairs, books found their place in wilderness. Photographed (and installed) by Norwegian artist Rune Guneriussen look like a dream or fairy tale.
I like installations with lamps the most, maybe because they are photographed in dusk and look sooo unreal…. On artist’s site you will find much more beautiful scenarios/art works/photographs.
I want to introduce you to work of one of my favourite aerial photographers – Kacper Kowalski. He lives in the same city as I do and I can recognize many places from his photos, maybe that’s the reason I love them so much.
Today I’ll show you only winter photos, which are (in my opinion) the best. I’ll keep other photos for another post – there are far too many beautiful works for one post.
Here is artist’s home site with many other wonderful photographs (photo series’ names are at the bottom of main page – they are hard to find when you visit page for the first time).
