Becky Blair’s paintings

I love this beach series by Becky Blair – simple, colorful paintings, enough but not too much abstract (if you know what I mean).

Very beautiful. I love these paintings!
Here the term “abstract” fits. It is representational but reduced to essential features. What is normally called “abstract” might better be called nonrepresentational or structural art.

  2. I’ve read about the difference between terms “abstract” and “nonrepresentational” art a few months ago and it opened my eyes. I love abstract art but rarely I like nonrepresentational art. It’s such a huge difference between them but despite this people often describe them with the same term – “abstract”. It brings such a confussion!
